Artists, who are putting together mix tapes usually have a hard time finding quality instrumentals to write and perform to, as well as having a hard time finding someone who will get behind their music and help promote them. I will periodically feature some hot beats that I need MCs, poets, singers, and musicians for. You can download the track from the mailing list, record to it, and email it back to me for consideration. If I like your work, I’ll use it. That means I’ll promote, sell it, maybe even ask you to accompany me for a live performance.
